This day wishes to claim separation allowance to his wife Mrs Florence Martha Rimell living at 38 Testarton Street, Lancaster Road, Kensington. |

Letter dated 15th September 1919 Sir, I am directed by the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis to acquaint you that James Rimell, of 53, Stonleigh Street, North Kensington has applied at this office for a licence to act as a Conductor of Stage Carriages within the Metropolitan Police District. He has produced Army discharge showing that James Rimell served in the M.F.P. No. P 15797 from 11th June, 1915 to 17th April, 1919 when he was discharged. His conduct, however, is not shown. I am therefore to ask that you will be good enough to favour the Commissioner with a copy of the Army records as to charachter relating to the above mentioned. Will you please also state if physical or other unfitness which necessitated his discharge to civil life. The information is required to enable the Commissioner to determine upon Rimell's fitness to hold the licence applied for. |
